The Heart of August…continued was a new creation for Ballet Vlaanderen by Édouard Lock, renowned Canadian choreographer most famous for his company La La La Human Steps, his work with David Bowie and revolutionising dance film. It was an abstract work based on the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice in the underworld, with Juliet Burnett as the ill-fated Eurydice, and performed with Hermes Ensemble with a specially commissioned score by Gavin Bryars.
