I wanted to contribute something to the global community that is borne of the pure beauty of the human spirit - through trial and triumph - to the #blacklivesmatter #indigenouslivesmatter movement. Via my Instagram account, I invited a response to the word - injustice - by way of choreographic instructions. Social justice issues, especially pertaining to cultural and racial discrimination, have always been close to my heart. My hope was to make something that came deep from the heart; because sadly, the heart is a place that many humans forget when it comes to the dehumanization of ‘the other’.

With a huge thank you to the powerful voice of Raehann Bryce-Davis, and for sharing this American Negro Spiritual song with us all for this project. A true gift.

Another huge thank you to the beautiful-hearted people from many corners of the globe for participating in this unifying cause. There was not one video that I wouldn’t be moved to tears by. Your sincerity shines in your dance.

This film is dedicated with all of my heart, to all victims of injustice, especially racial injustice. May we all remember the love in our hearts, and what brings us together.
